Learning Support Assistant (LSA) / Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) - Surrey

Salary: £19,000 - £22,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

We are seeking a caring and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) / Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) to join our school in Surrey. This role is perfect for someone passionate about SEND, SEMH, and trauma-informed education, supporting students' academic, emotional, and social development.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide high-quality learning and pastoral support to students, promoting inclusion and wellbeing

* Support disadvantaged students to close the attainment gap

* Encourage cooperative interaction and positive behaviour among students

* Give helpful feedback on student progress and achievements

* Work closely with teachers and tutors to create a supportive learning environment

* Promote student independence and reward achievement and self-reliance

* Liaise with outside agencies and professionals where required

Requirements:

* Experience as an LPS, LSA, or TA in a school setting

* Strong understanding of safeguarding and student welfare

* Passion for SEND, SEMH, and trauma-informed education

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Qualifications:

* Relevant qualifications in education, SEND, or related fields are desirable
