Building Surveyor

Hourly Rate: £22.65 PAYE per hour
Location: Welwyn & Hatfield
Job Type: Temporary (12 weeks)
Hours: 37 hours per week (full-time)We are seeking a skilled Building Surveyor to provide temporary cover within a local authority within the Resident and Climate Change team. This role is crucial for maintaining high standards in building safety and efficiency, aligning with current regulations and standards.

Day-to-day of the role:

Conduct thorough building fault diagnosis and develop cost-effective solutions.
Prepare detailed specifications for repairs and renovations.
Make informed technical decisions and solve problems effectively.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations, including CDM and Building Safety Compliance legislation.
Regularly update knowledge of building regulations, standards, and best practices to ensure all work is compliant.Required Skills & Qualifications:

BTEC ONC and HNC in Building Studies or substantial experience in a similar role.
Evidence of continual professional development in construction, health, and safety-related disciplines.
Up-to-date knowledge of current building regulations and standards.
Significant experience in building fault diagnosis and providing cost-effective solutions.
Fully conversant with Health & Safety, Building Safety Compliance legislation, and Building Regulations.
