Full-Time Year 6 Teaching Assistant - CF3 Area

Are you passionate about helping young learners grow in confidence as they prepare for their exciting transition to secondary school?
We're looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and nurturing Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in the CF3 area.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves working with children, thrives on building positive relationships, and wants to make a genuine difference in the classroom.

The Role:

You'll be supporting a lively and engaging Year 6 class — working alongside the class teacher to inspire, motivate, and prepare pupils for their step up to Year 7.
Your day-to-day role will include:

Providing general classroom support across lessons and activities.

Working with small groups and individual pupils to boost confidence and understanding in key areas such as English and Maths.

Helping pupils develop organisation and study skills as they prepare for secondary school.

Encouraging positive behaviour and acting as a role model for maturity, respect, and enthusiasm.

Supporting with creative projects, class discussions, and fun, engaging learning experiences that keep children motivated right through to the end of Year 6.

Assisting the class teacher in planning, preparation, and assessment when required.

About You:

We're looking for someone who's:

Friendly, approachable, and passionate about working with young people.

Confident in building strong relationships and encouraging positive attitudes to learning.

Proactive and adaptable, with good communication and teamwork skills.

Able to support children both academically and emotionally as they transition to secondary school.

Ideally experienced in a Key Stage 2 setting (though training and support will be provided).

If you're someone who naturally brings energy, creativity, and a sense of fun to the classroom, this could be the perfect role for you!

What's on Offer:

A full-time position in a warm, supportive, and inclusive school community.

A chance to make a real impact during a crucial stage in children's education.

Regular training opportunities and ongoing professional development.

A clear pathway to progress to HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) status for the right candidate.

Supportive staff and leadership who truly value their TAs as part of the team.

If you're ready to take on a rewarding role where no two days are the same, and where you'll be helping pupils finish their primary journey with confidence and excitement — we'd love to hear from you!
