Working hours - Monday to Friday 37.5hrs (on-site)

Salary - £30k - £40k per annum

We are currently supporting this international manufacturing business in their search for a Mechanical Design Engineer. You would be joining an established design team and would be involved in some exciting projects relating to the conception or re-design of existing automation and production machinery in the plant. The role will be predominantly mechanical design however experience and understanding in electrical and pneumatic principles would be highly advantageous.

As the Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be getting involved in:

* Detailing of manufacturing drawings

* Assisting in the creation of concepts

* Updating and maintaining existing drawings

* Assist in the creation of technical manuals

* Supporting the wiser engineering team in the creation or modification of existing designs

* Generating Bills of Materials and supporting with purchasing and expediting where necessary

Skills and Experience required:

* Qualified as a minimum to HNC or NVQ Level 4 in a Mechanical Engineering discipline will be ESSENTIAL.

* Previous experience and knowledge of working with Auto Inventor and AutoCAD

* Experience in the mechanical design of machinery or automation equipment

* Previous job roles could include Mechanical Design Engineer / Automation Design Engineer / Development Engineer
