We have a fantastic opportunity for a Team Leader to work in our dynamic team at The Belfry, England’s leading Hotel and Resort. We have 320 bedrooms, 2 rosette standard dining, five food and beverage outlets, fantastic leisure facilities including our 20 treatment rooms & pool and of course, what we are famous for…golf. We have a really exciting year ahead at The Belfry, with hosting The British Masters in August 2024, and continuing with the launch of new training and development opportunities and incentives.

The Brabazon Bar

The Brabazon Bar is the heart of our resort, and the ideal meeting place. The bar is a versatile space, serving light dishes and coffees during the morning, afternoon tea, and hand-crafted cocktails in the evening. The bar is home to live music during the weekend.

Salary

The on target earning potential for this role is £25980 annual salary, compromising of a base salary of £24815 plus a qualified estimate of £1165 gratuities per annum

About the role

As a Team Leader it will be your responsibility to ensure that standards of performance are maintained and the team are delivering excellent service to the guest in accordance with the Hotel’s standards of food and beverage quality, presentation and hygiene. You will be able to display excellent hospitality through positive personality with both guest and co-workers. Ensure that all opportunities are maximised; and that customers are offered highest quality standards and value for money.

You will also be required to -

  1. Ensure all services offered are of the highest standard.
  2. To ensure that all staff are always following the service procedures as set out in the Bar/Restaurant SOP.
  3. To ensure that all new staff are fully briefed and trained before commencing their first shift.
  4. To ensure that all food & beverage items are charged as appropriate.
  5. Ensure that a thorough briefing / handover is completed before the start of the next shift.
  6. Carry out stock takes as required.
  7. Ensure alongside the Food & Beverage Manager and Head Chef that all stock/menu items are available at all times.
  8. Working closely with the Food & Beverage Manager ensuring that costs and expenditure are controlled at all levels.
  9. To attend Hotel Meetings as required, ensuring effective communication at all levels especially between fellow staff members.
  10. To create an environment that promotes employee morale and encourages the team to have pride and commitment in their area of work.
  11. To ensure that you and the F&B staff have an in-depth product knowledge within food and beverage and other areas of the hotel.
  12. Liaise closely with the Food & Beverage Manager to ensure that the correct staffing levels are maintained at all times and are in line with labour budget. Making savings at any opportunity possible.
  13. Ensure that both the front and back of house areas are kept to the highest standard at all times through allocation of duties to the appropriate staff.
  14. To communicate with the Food & Beverage Manager on a weekly basis to discuss Restaurant/Bar service and standards, staff development, identify training needs, forward bookings etc.


About you

Our ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering a fantastic service to our guests. Previous experience in a busy bar or restaurant within a Hotel environment would be preferred.
