Maintenance Operative - TXM Recruit are currently looking for a maintenance operative to work for an inhouse supermarket maintenance team on a 12-week temp to perm scheme. This role will be based with autonomous working completing planned maintenance across a few stores.

* Location - Yeovil, Chard, somerset

* Salary - £29,328.86/yr or £14.01/ph

* Hours - 6am to 3pm - Monday to Friday (Can be flexed slightly for childcare etc)

* Weekends - 1-in-4 weekend shift (1.25x rate for Sunday)

* Overtime - Overtime is there at 1.5x

As a Maintenance Operative your duties will be but not limited to

* General reactive maintenance in store from toilets, shop floor and communal areas.

* This may include changing lightbulbs, replacing taps or toilet seats hanging doors or fixing shelves. Patch plaster. rendering, painting or minor carpentry and plumbing repairs.

* PPMs such as Legionella, Fire Alarm Testing, Sprinkler Testing (training provided).

* Building inspections including roof walks and building checks to exterior

* Cark Park checks - drain covers, trolley shelters, bollards

There will be daily duties to ensure the tablet is updated, this may be reporting issues, H&S notes or sending emails. Technology will be used in the form of a PDA Tablet and Company provided Smartphone.
