Sewell Wallis is pleased to be recruiting a Management Accountant for a multi-company, group environment based in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, which is growing and covers multiple sectors!

An opportunity to join as a Management Accountant and grow your responsibilities with support and mentorship. This role has a clear line of progression to a role for a Financial Controller for the right individual.

If you an experienced Management Accountant, happy to work on your own initiative with a great attitude to learning and developing, this role could be great for you.

What will you be doing?

Provide accurate and time-sensitive financial management and accounting information to the Group FD
Assist in preparing monthly management information for all 10+ businesses
Taking an active role in the year-end audits
Assume tax compliance for the businesses falling under their remit
Be responsible for ensuring the credit controller is producing the necessary reporting on a weekly basis
Enable quicker decision-making by presenting strategies that are backed up by financial accounting management data
Evaluate the financial performance and position of the businesses under their remit
Prepare rolling 90 days cashflow forecasts
Assist the FD in evaluating new business opportunities and due diligence work
Attend the month-end stock take for a commodity-based business to ensure we capture the correct valuation
There is potential for this individual to share some of the Company Secretarial duties What skills will you need?

Experience in a similar role previously
Ideally, relatable experience in construction
Initiative, independence and drive to learn
Strong Excel use (V lookups, Pivots)
Qualified ACCA, CIMA or equivalent QBEWhat's on offer?
