Service Engineer/Product Support TechnicianCovering Nottingham AreaAre you a Service Engineer / Product Support Technician looking to join a dynamic service team for a leading design and manufacturer of bespoke machinery? This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Service Engineer to work with cutting-edge technology, provide exceptional customer support, and become a technical expert for a world-leading brand.The Role:As a vital part of our customer support function, you will be the face of our client on the front line. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure our clients—from sole traders to Blue Chip companies—receive unparalleled technical service for their labelling machinery.Your key duties will include:
  • Installing, configuring, and commissioning labelling systems at customer sites across the UK.
  • Conducting advanced diagnostic fault-finding and carrying out effective on-site repairs.
  • Performing preventive maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance.
  • Delivering comprehensive hands-on training to customers on system operation and maintenance.
  • Preparing clear and detailed service reports with recommendations.
  • Collaborating with the internal team on spare parts and warranty processes.
  • Ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality, health, and safety standards.
Salary Package:
  • Competitive Annual Salary £40,000-£50,000

Essential Experience & Skills:
  • A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a field service, product support, or technical maintenance role.
  • A strong bias towards either mechanical or electrical engineering, with a solid basic understanding of both disciplines.
  • Proven experience in fault-finding on machinery; ideally within packaging, automation, labelling, or a similar industrial sector.
  • A relevant engineering qualification (e.g., HNC/HND, Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3) or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • A full, clean UK driving licence
