We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic English Lecturer to join our dynamic team. This role involves teaching GCSE and Functional Skills (FS) English to young students of varying abilities. You will play a crucial role in the expansion and development of the department, aiming to deliver the highest quality education for every student.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Teach young students of varying abilities – from Level 1 to Level 2 and GCSE.
• Work closely with the English Assistant Director on the expansion and development of the department.
• Inspire the next generation of skilled experts, supporting people from all backgrounds to achieve their career and life ambitions.
• Play a key role in promoting the courses across the Study Programme curriculum area.
• Participate in marketing events and share your experiences as an English teacher.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in teaching FS and GCSE English and/or relevant industry experience.
• Minimum of a Degree in English or a related subject.
• Level 2 literacy and numeracy (GCSE or equivalent).
• Qualified FE teacher or willingness to work towards this qualification.
• Excellent communication skills, able to articulate clearly and confidently to class groups in an engaging way.
• Efficient administration skills to support good student record-keeping.
