Mixed Tax Manager East London Up to £82,000

A well-established accountancy firm is seeking a Mixed Tax Manager. The successful candidate will support client directors in delivering technically excellent tax advice across both corporate and personal tax. This role offers the opportunity to develop and maintain strong client relationships while contributing to the growth of the business through proactive advice and strategic planning.

Role Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor on tax matters.
• Deliver corporate tax planning initiatives to optimise tax efficiency, including R&D, employee share schemes, and EIS/SEIS applications.
• Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to deadlines.
• Act as a point of contact for internal ad hoc tax queries across multiple locations.
• Prepare and review corporate and personal tax returns, including supporting schedules and computations.
• Prepare Capital Allowances reports/analysis for audit clients.
• Conduct research on complex tax issues, providing recommendations and reports where required.
• Liaise professionally with HMRC on enquiries, negotiating and representing clients as needed.
• Review team members' work and provide training and support when necessary.
• Stay up to date with changes in tax legislation and ensure compliance with all relevant requirements.

Personal Requirements

• Experience in corporate and personal tax within an accountancy practice.
• Knowledge of property tax is advantageous.
• Strong technical knowledge, client management skills, and the ability to work on multiple engagements.
