Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Salary: £110 - £130 per day (depending on experience)

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a growing number of fantastic secondary schools in the Medway area, and we are now looking for confident, qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) for immediate starts.

As a HLTA, you'll play a key role in supporting teachers, covering lessons when needed, and working closely with students aged 11-16+. This is an ideal role for someone with strong classroom skills who is looking for more responsibility — without the planning and marking workload of a teacher.

The successful HLTA will have:

HLTA qualification or equivalent experience in a similar role

A confident presence in the classroom and the ability to engage and motivate students

Strong behaviour management and communication skills

Flexibility to support across various subjects and year groups
