RECRUITMENTiQ is working in partnership with a well-established, Private Equity backed SME, pallet distribution and logistics company, who is looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team on a permanent basis - at a period of significant investment to access a variety of exciting growth opportunities.

Within your role as a Purchase Ledger Clerk you'll be tasked with the below:

Responsibilities

Process all incoming invoices & credit notes from suppliers ensuring correct nominal codes and departments.

Raising all POs on behalf of all departments and emailing them to suppliers, ensuring accuracy.

Process any supplier payment requests received out with our payment terms.

Process all purchase ledger direct debits.

Setting up new suppliers within software systems including banking.

Reconcile all supplier statements including agreeing contras.

Process all monthly supplier payments in accounts and import to bank, followed by emailing remittances.

 Liaise with all depots and suppliers on invoice queries and resolve.

Skills and Experience

Understanding UK Tax System at basic level

Ability to use companies' software systems

Strong experience of Sage line 50

Experience using Purchase Order board system

Experience of processing a high volume of invoices

Good communication skills

Accuracy and honesty

Attention to detail

Willingness to learn

Ability to prioritise tasks

Ability to work on own or part of a team using own initiative

Knowledge & flexibility to assist others in their tasks
