Purpose of the Role

To work closely with the team to produce concrete safely and efficiently within a clean, well‑maintained environment, while ensuring the highest possible levels of customer service.

You will also operate the batching plant and mobile plant - FEL to company standards, contributing to a smooth, reliable, and professional operation while continually improving site presentation in line with company guidelines.

Key Accountabilities
Operational & Production
  • Liaise with the Order Office, plant staff, and customers to ensure concrete/mortar production meets customer requirements, achieving optimum output, quality, and standards in line with the Procedures Manual, Working Instructions, and Technical Instructions.

  • Accurately batch concrete/mortar in accordance with relevant procedures (when trained).

  • Ensure sufficient approved materials are available to meet production demands.

  • Visually check stock levels daily and complete weekly stock checks; verify monthly with the Plant Supervisor.

  • Operate the batching plant and FEL to company standards, maintaining and improving site presentation in line with guidelines.

Maintenance & Housekeeping
  • Inspect and carry out routine plant maintenance, ensuring all equipment, buildings, plant mechanisms, and surrounding areas are clean and well maintained.

  • Ensure waste disposal, water discharge, and dust emissions comply with Environmental Procedures.

  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness across the entire site and facilities at all times.

Compliance & Administration
  • Ensure operations are performed in line with Group and Regional Administrative Instructions to prevent any fraudulent activity.

  • Adhere to all aspects of the Restrictive Trade Practices Act and related communications.

  • Comply with all company Personnel Policies and Procedures.

  • Keep knowledge and skills up to date and attend training courses as required.

Continuous Improvement
  • Review work methods and plant utilisation to ensure optimal use of equipment, materials, and processes.

  • Perform any other relevant duties as requested by Management.
