Qualified Nursery Nurse

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Qualified Nursery Nurse to join a warm and supportive early years setting. If you have a passion for helping young children learn, play, and thrive, this is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact during the most important stage of a child's development.

About the Role

As a Nursery Nurse, you will support children aged 0-5 across daily routines, learning activities, and play experiences. You will work alongside the nursery team to create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where every child can grow and flourish.

Responsibilities

Support children's learning and development through planned and spontaneous activities

Promote early communication, language, and social skills

Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for all children

Assist with daily routines including mealtimes, personal care, and hygiene

Observe children's progress and contribute to learning journals

Build strong relationships with children, staff, and families

Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies at all times

Contribute to planning, organising, and setting up activities

Requirements

To apply, you must have:

A Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification (CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent)

Experience working with children aged 0-5 in a nursery or early years setting

A solid understanding of the EYFS framework

Strong communication and teamwork skills

A nurturing, patient, and positive approach

A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Desirable Experience

Experience supporting children with SEND

Knowledge of behaviour support strategies

Paediatric First Aid certificate

Experience working across baby, toddler, and preschool rooms
