Senior and Principal Ecologists

I am working with a small consultancy who are seeking to grow their South West office. With an existing small complement, this is an excellent opportunity for ecologists with a variety of experience to come on board and rapidly be taking a leading role and making decisions within the business.

Working broadly across sectors with some high profile projects as well as smaller endeavours, this is very much a role that steps away from the corporate and timesheet mentality.

With a flexible approach to working patterns and locations, this is very much a role you can mould to best suit your needs. This is a great opportunity for an experienced ecologist looking to take the next step in their career, working within a growing ecology consultancy that values autonomy, technical quality, and a balanced approach to work

Role and Responsibilities

* Lead and deliver ecology consultancy projects across the South, Midlands, and Home Counties

* Carry out Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEAs), habitat condition assessments, and Biodiversity Impact Assessments

* Undertake protected species surveys and priority species assessments

* Prepare tenders, Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIA), and technical reporting

* Design surveys and lead field teams across a variety of project types.

Required Skills and Experience

* Specialist expertise in one or more key ecological areas

* Degree or equivalent in ecology or a related field

* Membership of CIEEM (or working towards membership)

* GIS experience (QGIS or ArcGIS).
