Substance Misuse Recovery Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated Substance Misuse Recovery Coordinator to join our team in Hartlepool. This role is ideal for a substance misuse support worker looking to advance their career and take on a more challenging position. The Recovery Coordinator will play a crucial role in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating long-term care for individuals overcoming substance misuse issues.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Handle a group of clients, helping them use services that fulfill their overall needs and boost their willingness to change.
  • Perform detailed evaluations of new clients from different referrals, constantly addressing any risks found.
  • Create, execute, and revise personal recovery plans, performing risk assessments when needed.
  • Lead meetings with partners to ensure all client needs are met.
  • Assist clients in utilising resources and services to enhance their recovery potential and reach their recovery objectives.
  • Encourage involvement from families, caregivers, and clients.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team and external partners, contributing to plans like child protection.
  • Deliver individual evidence-based interventions, including psychosocial methods, to aid recovery.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • GCSE in Maths and English at Grade C or above (or equivalent).
  • NVQ 3, or equivalent in Health and Social Care, Substance Misuse, Psychology, Counselling, or Social Work.
  • Experience working with vulnerable individuals with substance misuse or mental health issues.
  • Good knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance.
  • Strong and resilient character.
  • Willingness to complete ongoing training in Safeguarding, Equality and Diversity, Employee Protection Register, and Information Governance.
