About Us

A large SEMH school in Wandsworth providing specialist education for students aged 5 - 19, our secondary phase offers a structured, supportive enviroment where students are encouraged to re-engage with learning and build confidence through personalised learning and support.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and skilled to join our secondary team, delivering high-quality education to students with complex needs. This is a vital role that combines subject teaching with specialist support strategies to help our students succeed both academically and emotionally.

You will:

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to secondary students with SEN/SEBD.

Use behaviour management techniques such as Team Teach to create a safe and focused classroom.

Build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues to support holistic progress.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Minimum of two years' experience working with SEN/SEBD pupils, ideally in a secondary or alternative provision setting.

Sound knowledge of the secondary curriculum and how to adapt it for learners with additional needs.

Confident in managing challenging behaviour and supporting emotional regulation.

Understanding of safeguarding, with a commitment to promoting pupil welfare.

Desirable:

Specialist training/accreditation (e.g., SEMH, ASD, Dyslexia, Anger Management).

Experience of working in a PRU, SEMH school, or other specialist setting.

Strong ICT skills
