Shift: Full time Monday - Friday

About the Company

Our client is a leading Tier 2 aerospace manufacturer specialising in plasma coating, paint and machining for major OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.

The Role

As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products and processes meet regulatory, customer and company quality requirements. The role supports continuous improvement initiatives, manages non-conformances and ensures compliance with AS9100 and customer specifications.

Develop, implement and maintain quality assurance processes aligned with AS9100 and ISO9001 standards
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for non-conformances
Support First Article Inspection activities in line with AS9102 requirements
Liaise with suppliers and customers to resolve quality concerns and drive improvement
Support internal and external audits in line with AS9100 requirements
Prepare and maintain quality documentation including inspection plans, control plans and quality reports
Monitor key performance indicators and recommend improvements for quality metrics
Participate in new product introduction projects to ensure quality requirements are met from concept to production
Work with production teams on quality standards and best practices
Champion continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as Six Sigma, Lean and 8D problem solving

About You

Proven experience as a Quality Engineer within the aerospace, automotive or precision engineering sector
Strong understanding of AS9100 and ISO9001 quality management systems
Familiarity with AS9102 FAI, PPAP, APQP and NADCAP processes is desirable
Experience with root cause analysis and problem solving methodologies including 5 Why, 8D and FMEA
Knowledge of aerospace materials, processes and standards
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in quality tools and systems such as Minitab, SPC, CMM and ERP or MRP systems
