Male PE Teacher

Reed Education is dedicated to providing Whole School Recruitment to Secondary Schools across Wyre & Fylde, Cumbria & Lancashire. We are currently seeking a dynamic Male PE Teacher to join a supportive team in South Cumbria starting September. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of the PE curriculum, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to creating an engaging learning environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Deliver engaging and dynamic PE lessons to students at KS3 and KS4 levels; experience with KS5 is advantageous.
  • Utilise strong subject knowledge to inspire and motivate students.
  • Maintain effective classroom management and discipline.
  • Assess and record students' progress and prepare them for examinations.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and promotes physical education.
  • Collaborate with other teaching staff to plan and coordinate lessons.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must have QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
  • Recent relevant experience teaching PE at KS3 and KS4 levels; KS5 is a plus.
  • Excellent classroom practitioner with robust classroom management skills.
  • Reliable, committed, and capable of acting as a good role model for students.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with attributes of compassion, trustworthiness, politeness, and good listening skills.
  • Must be punctual, patient, and confident when working with children.
