ROLE: CCTV/ ACCESS CONTROL WORKSHOP TRAINEE ENGINEER

LOCATION: Workshop based. You will be accessible to Herne Bay, Kent, you may be looking for Trainee Workshop jobs in Kent, Herne Bay, Margate, Ramsgate, Whitstable, Canterbury or Ashford. You will need a full driving licence.

SALARY: £competitve salary plus company vehicle package, pension.

HOURS: Full Time, Mon-Fri, 7.30am-3.30pm

As a Security Systems Trainee Workshop Engineer, reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will learn to build and assemble CCTV/ Access Control Security Surveillance Systems:

* Following processes for assembling and fitting out security systems.

* Configuration of IT hardware, CCTV control panels and camaras.

* Adhering to the goods in and out process and procedures.

* Carrying out quality control checks.

* Carrying out installations and deployments under the supervision of a senior engineer.

* Working on your own initiative and with other engineers to deliver to all the above, ensuring health and safety is adhered to during all workshop and site work.

You will have a positive, self-motivated, 'can-do' attitude, good written and verbal communication skills as well as a good standard of Maths and English, a commercial awareness to problem solving using an analytical approach, a technical aptitude and a desire to work in a technical industry in a practical hands-on role.

Your background maybe in Electronics / CCTV / Wireless Systems / Data Cabling / Networking in IP/ Electrical / Mechanical / Telecoms or any other practical or technical role, possibly as a Trainee Workshop Technician, Apprentice Workshop Technician, Trainee Workshop Engineer, Apprentice Workshop Engineer, IT Workshop Apprentice Engineer, Trainee Workshop Operative, Trainee Electronic Engineer, Trainee Security Alarm Service Engineer, Junior Security Systems Engineer, Trainee CCTV Engineer or similar.
