Document Controller / Design Manager

About the Role:
We are working with a leading workplace design and build contractor to recruit a Document Controller / Design Manager to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly organised and proactive individual to take ownership of drawing management and design coordination across multiple live projects.

This is a hybrid role split between office and site, with a base at the company's Hemel Hempstead office. You'll play a key role in the management and collation of drawings, issuing documentation to relevant teams, and supporting smooth project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and control the flow of design documentation across multiple projects

Coordinate drawing issue and collation with internal teams and external consultants

Ensure accurate document tracking, version control and compliance

Liaise with site teams and design professionals to resolve queries

Support project managers and commercial teams with design-related admin

Maintain organisation under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

Proven experience in a document control or design coordination role within construction

Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills

Calm, methodical, and able to react quickly to changing site needs

Proficient with document control systems (e.g. Viewpoint, Aconex, 4Projects)

Must be based in London or the Home Counties and able to start work at 7:30am in Hemel Hempstead
