About the Role:
We are looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our friendly and supportive school community in Portsmouth from September 2025. This is a part-time position (3 days per week), ideal for someone passionate about supporting children's learning and development.

As an HLTA, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality learning experiences across the school. You will work closely with teachers to plan and deliver lessons, cover classes when required, and provide targeted support to pupils to help them reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the planning, preparation, and delivery of engaging lessons across various subjects.

Lead whole-class sessions in the absence of the teacher.

Deliver targeted interventions to small groups or individual pupils.

Support the assessment and monitoring of pupil progress.

Collaborate with teaching staff and contribute to the wider school community.

We're Looking For Someone Who:

Holds HLTA status or equivalent qualification/experience.

Has recent experience working in a school setting.

Is confident in delivering lessons and managing classroom behaviour.

Has a positive, can-do attitude with a genuine passion for education.

Is flexible, reliable, and able to work well as part of a team.
