About the Role:

As a Primary SEMH Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering a creative and flexible curriculum to KS1 and KS2 pupils with significant social, emotional, and behavioural challenges. Your role will be to help students build confidence, re-engage with learning, and make progress both academically and personally within a highly supportive setting.

We are seeking a Primary SEMH Teacher who is emotionally intelligent, committed to trauma-informed practice, and able to build trusting relationships that make a real difference in children's lives. You'll work closely with experienced support staff and a pastoral team to foster resilience, engagement, and self-worth in every child.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs and emotional development.
Create a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment.
Collaborate with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external agencies.
Monitor progress and adapt plans to meet EHCP goals and behavioural targets.
Model and promote positive behaviour strategies and restorative practices.Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Experience teaching in SEMH, PRU, or alternative provision settings is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of behaviour management and trauma-informed approaches.
Empathy, patience, and a strong belief in second chances.
