CFD Engineer
Outside IR35 | Hybrid Working | 35 Hours per Week
About this Position:
An opportunity has arisen for a CFD Engineer to support the development of vehicle thermal management systems and component thermal durability across BEV, PHEV and ICE powertrains. The role focuses on delivering high-quality simulations and analysis to drive design improvements and support cross-functional teams.
Job Responsibilities:

Carry out 3D CFD simulations to assess vehicle thermal performance and durability across powertrain types
*
Communicate results and design implications to engineering teams and system owners
*
Plan and manage project activities, report status updates, and support delivery to key milestones
*
Solve complex design and engineering problems using simulation tools and data analysis
*
Work collaboratively within a functional team and support wider business objectives
Experience Required:
*
Previous experience in vehicle aerodynamics or thermal management
*
Strong background in CFD modelling, with experience using PowerFLOW, PowerTHERM and PowerCOOL
*
Skilled in preprocessing CAD, meshing and preparing models for simulation
*
Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability and clear communication skills
*
Systems engineering experience is desirable
*
Understanding of financial awareness related to engineering roles
