What is this role?

First for Education are recruiting on behalf of a client school for a Teaching Assistant to work in a Key Stage 2 class at this school in Worcester for the Summer Term.

This is a role where the school are hoping to have someone in place ASAP as it is to support the class teacher with general TA duties. The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant who is willing to commit to a full-time position.

What is required of you?

* You will be supporting in Key Stage 2 classes, so experience of working with children of this age is essential.

* You may be required to work with lower ability, higher ability and SEND/SEMH children for phonics, numeracy and literacy interventions.

* You will need to support the class teacher in class and also doing cover supervision.

* This is a full-time role, Monday-Friday 8:30am-3:15pm.

What you'll need to succeed:

* You must have a Level 3 or 2 teaching assistant qualification or equivalent.

* You will ideally have 6 months experience in a classroom setting although this is not essential.

* You must be confident in covering in the teachers absence.

* You must have strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.
