Job Purpose

* Produce Pick List in accordance with customer requirements and stock availability. Ensure customer orders are fulfilled in accordance with OTIF. Duties and responsibilities

* To take delivery of goods delivered, with the use of forklifts where required. * Ensure that goods are checked off in an accurate and timely manner for damages and quantity, any issues must be escalated to a manger before the vehicle is allowed to leave.

* Update computer system to enable accurate stock levels when required by the use of hand held scanners.

* Put materials away in warehouse after deliveries in a FIFO order when required.

* To get materials out ready for collection by outside transport companies , this is to ensure the correct pallets and the correct amount of pallets are ready for loading based on the paperwork records

* Conduct daily consumables Stocktake (pallets, case sets, drums, pails, etc) and assist with other stock checks when required.

* Keep yard area clean and tidy on a daily basis.

* Manage the skips on site, ensuring that materials are correctly disposed of in the appropriate skips to maximise recycling possibilities.

* Daily Checks on Forklift and mechanical handling equipment and appropriate paperwork completed in line with current Health and Safety recommendations.

* Undertake the Duties of the BANKSMAN in the yard and control the traffic in the yard.

* Supervise the tanker deliveries ensuring the correct paperwork is received, the batch has been passed by the Lab, directing the tanker into the correct discharge position, and giving the consent to discharge once everything has been checked.

* Assisting in the warehouse with general warehousing duties including but not restricted to picking, packing, and checking stock, the use of forklift and mechanical handling and preparing stock for shipping.

* A knowledge of good practice relating to Health and Safety Regulations concerning the yard and warehouse areas.

* A flexible approach to work is essential with the ability to work over if required. You must have a good knowledge and recognition of finished goods and raw materials is essential.

Qualifications & Experience:

The ability to comprehend simple verbal/written instructions and memos; write simple correspondence; present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

Have basic mathematical skills to include: add and subtract; multiply and divide; use percentages and decimals.

Must have a full UK drivers licence

Must have a valid Counterbalance & Bendi FLT licence

Shifts & Salary:

This role will be working on a rotating shift pattern, based on Monday - Friday 6am-2pm and 1.20pm-9.20pm

The salary for this role is £29,230.50 per annum - Permanent role (Not agency work)
