New Resource Recruitment is working with a leading manufacturing business to recruit a Stores / QA / Despatch Assistant. This is a hands-on, varied role that supports both the Stores and Quality Assurance departments to ensure the efficient flow of materials and finished goods throughout the business.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Stores Supervisor, you will work closely with departments including Production, Test, and PCB. The role will involve goods handling, inventory management, quality control support, and dispatch preparation. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a busy and practical role within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Goods Handling & Logistics:

*

Assist with unloading incoming goods and moving them to designated storage areas.

*

Transport goods within and between departments as needed.

*

Deliver or collect items from external locations when required.

Stock Control & Kitting:

*

Use a computerised system to record all stock movements accurately.

*

Maintain correct stock levels, values, and job costing data.

*

Kit materials to production in line with specific work orders.

*

Print and include serial plates in kits.

Inspection, Packing & Dispatch:

*

Print relevant documentation (manuals, wiring diagrams, etc.) for finished goods.

*

Take photographs of completed products and upload them to the appropriate system folders.

*

Pack and prepare goods for dispatch to quality standards.

*

Load outbound shipments.

Storage & Housekeeping:

*

Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised storage environment using 5S principles.

*

Clearly label all stock and maintain accurate traceability.

*

Keep QA/Despatch areas and external storage zones safe and well-maintained.

Other Duties:

*

Support quality assurance processes and standards.

*

Undertake other reasonable tasks as required to support business needs.

Key Requirements

Knowledge & Qualifications:

*

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general IT systems.

*

Understanding of Lean 5S principles is beneficial.

Skills & Experience:

*

Previous experience in a similar stores, logistics, or despatch role.

*

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

*

Comfortable using digital systems for stock management.

*

Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Practical, hands-on, and physically fit.

Working Hours

*

Monday to Thursday: 08:15 - 17:15

*

Friday: 08:30 - 13:00
