About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Electrical to lead and develop the electrical division of a leading construction and fit-out firm. Operating across commercial, education, healthcare, and leisure sectors, this role will provide strategic oversight and operational leadership across all electrical projects.

This is a senior leadership role ideal for a highly motivated individual with a strong technical background and proven management capabilities. You will shape the direction of the electrical department, drive performance, and ensure delivery excellence across all projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic leadership and direction for the electrical division, overseeing all live projects and future planning.
Lead and mentor electrical project teams, contract managers, and site operatives.
Establish and enforce technical standards, health & safety protocols, and operational best practices.
Collaborate with directors and senior stakeholders to align electrical operations with wider business objectives.
Oversee the development and implementation of electrical design, procurement, and delivery strategies.
Support business development activities, including client meetings, bids, and tenders.
Ensure all electrical works are compliant with industry regulations, statutory requirements, and company policies.
Monitor project and departmental KPIs, ensuring timely, high-quality, and cost-effective project delivery.
Drive innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement across electrical services.

Qualifications and Experience:

Extensive experience in a senior electrical leadership role within the construction or building services sector.
Relevant technical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND, or degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services).
Chartered status or membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., IET) is desirable.
ECS/CSCS card and SMSTS or equivalent safety accreditation (preferred).
Demonstrable experience in managing large teams and multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Strong commercial acumen, client-facing skills, and technical leadership.
