Assistant Accountant – Epsom, Surrey

Are you an ambitious Assistant Accountant looking to take the next step in your career? We’re recruiting for a growing international organisation seeking a motivated finance professional to support group reporting, month-end processes, and multi-entity operations.

This role is fully office-based in Epsom, working closely with the Group Financial Controller to deliver accurate monthly financial information and support strong financial controls across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Support monthly GP reviews, including accruals, deferred income and supplier cost analysis
• Produce monthly overhead reports, identifying missing items and required accruals/prepayments
• Post standard accounts and prepayments via Excel imports
• Process commission journals
• Prepare monthly intercompany reconciliations
• Update working capital analysis
• Enter payments via the banking portal
• Complete bank reconciliations
• Upload GM and team performance reports to SharePoint
• Assist with overseas accounting tasks, including cash book postings, sales invoices, accruals and prepayments

Skills & Experience Required

• Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA (or currently studying)
• 3+ years’ experience in an accounting environment
• Strong financial and management accounting knowledge
• Experience with multi-company, multi-currency ledgers
• Strong Excel skills and confidence using financial systems (e.g., Dynamics, Oracle)
• High attention to detail and strong organisational ability
• Excellent written and verbal communication
