Reed Finance are delighted to be working in partnership with a successful, multi entity, family run organisation to recruit an experienced Accountant who will act as the sole finance contact across the group.

This is a pivotal role offering full autonomy, reporting into the Directors and the opportunity to truly shape and influence the financial operations of a growing business.

As the standalone Accountant, you will take ownership of the end-to-end finance function across multiple trading entities, including:

• Managing daily accounting operations and transactional finance
• Producing monthly management accounts, cashflow forecasts, and financial statements
• Completing bank reconciliations, invoice processing, and payroll
• Preparing VAT returns and ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations
• Managing year-end accounts and liaising with external auditors
• Providing accurate financial reporting and strategic insight to the Directors
• Developing and improving internal financial controls and processes
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and longer-term financial planning

We are seeking a confident and capable finance professional who thrives in a standalone role and enjoys working closely with senior leadership with:

• Proven experience as a standalone Accountant or senior finance lead
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting standards
• Experience working across multiple entities (advantageous)
• Proficiency with accounting software and Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to relay financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
• A proactive approach to improving processes and adding value
