Are you a HGV Technician/Mechanic looking for a new exciting role in a growing and expanding business?
We are looking for a HGV Technician to join our team in Livingston. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy goods vehicles and trailers for Tesco.

Salary:

All shift patterns considered, we're flexible - minimum 40.25 hours (no Monday - Friday days available)

Days: £20.13ph

Overtime available paid 1.5

Responsibilities

* Service, inspection, maintenance and repair of trucks and trailers

* Electrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis, repair and installation

* Overhaul electrical equipment and components

* Setting and operating of machine tools and equipment

* Welding and metal working

* Department of Transport (MOT) testing preparation

* Parts ordering and stores management

* Support team members including Apprentice Technicians as required

* Accurately record time and detail of completed jobs

* Carry out inspection and repair of workshop equipment as directed

Qualifications:

* Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Goods Maintenance or equivalent or proven experience as an HGV Technician or similar role in vehicle maintenance.

* Diagnostics skills/qualifications - desirable

* A valid Class 1 licence - desirable

* Proficient in using hand tools, power tools.

* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
