Description
- Manage a portfolio of private clients, ensuring efficient tax compliance and advisory services.
- Provide guidance on complex tax planning matters, including inheritance tax and capital gains tax.
- Review tax returns prepared by junior staff to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to deliver integrated client solutions.
- Support clients with HMRC enquiries and investigations.
- Identify opportunities to enhance client service and offer value-added tax advice.
- Mentor and develop junior team members to strengthen the department's capabilities.
- Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and communicate their implications to clients and colleagues.
Profile
A successful Private Client Tax Assistant Manager should have:
- A recognised tax qualification, such as ATT, CTA, ACA or equivalent.
- Experience working within a professional services environment in the tax industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of private client tax matters, including compliance and advisory services.
- Excellent communication skills to build and maintain client relationships.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and delivering tailored client solutions.
