The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assembly Planner to join a leading manufacturing business in Cheltenham. You'll play a pivotal role in managing and creating the production plan for designated assembly lines, ensuring that customer demand is met on time and to the highest standards.

This role offers a chance to be part of a collaborative team where you'll contribute to process improvements, support new product introductions, and help optimise stock levels through effective planning.

Key Responsibilities

Create, review, and manage assembly production plans to ensure customer demand is met.

*

Analyse and action MRP messages to maintain a balance between supply and demand.

*

Manage sales order releases, considering both production capabilities and customer requirements.

*

Review and resolve component shortages, suggesting alternative products and solutions where necessary.

*

Support new product introductions and continuous improvement initiatives.

*

Produce accurate reports for customer service and business planning.

*

Provide planning input for quotes, modifications, and project requirements.

About You

*

Previous experience in a planning role within a production or manufacturing environment.

*

Strong proficiency in MS Excel; PowerBI knowledge is desirable.

*

Familiarity with MRP tools, planning systems, or ERP software (e.g. JD Edwards).

*

Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

*

Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.

*

Confident communicator and collaborator, comfortable working across teams.

*

Ideally educated to degree level in a relevant field (e.g. Supply Chain or Production), though equivalent experience will be considered.
