Design and Technology (DT) Teacher - Hillingdon, West London
Full-Time | Long-Term Contract | September 2025 - July 2026

Tradewind Recruitment are working with an ambitious and inclusive secondary school in the Hillingdon area who are seeking a skilled and motivated Design and Technology (DT) Teacher to join their team from September 2025 through to the end of the academic year in July 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher passionate about delivering hands-on, innovative lessons that prepare students for both academic and practical success.

Position Details:

Role: Design and Technology Teacher

Specialism: Open to all DT specialisms (Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, etc.)

Contract: Long-term (September 2025 - July 2026)

Location: Hillingdon, West London

Working Hours: Full-time (8:30am-3:30pm)

Pay: Outer London MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

Facilities: Well-equipped workshops and on-site parking available

Main Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging DT lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)

Promote practical skills, innovation, and problem-solving through hands-on learning

Ensure high standards of student achievement and progress

Contribute to a supportive and forward-thinking department

Qualifications and Person Specification:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

A relevant degree in a Design and Technology discipline

Excellent subject knowledge with a passion for practical, creative learning

Strong communication and classroom management skills

Approachable and encouraging with a commitment to student development
