About The Role
Fleet ManagerLocation- Tamworth (Flexible if based close to a phs site) Great hours Monday to Friday, no evenings or weekend workingFull time permanent position with hybrid workingWe’re searching for a dynamic fleet leader with a proven track record managing large, complex operations (1,000+ vehicles), who combines deep transport legislation expertise with sharp commercial acumen, data-driven decision making, exceptional people leadership, and the ability to drive performance, compliance and continuous improvement across multi-million-pound operations.
Fleet Managers! Come and build a successful career with us!Your role as a Fleet Manager at phs Group: - Lead the end-to-end fleet strategy, including acquisition, lifecycle planning, efficiency improvements and sustainability initiatives.
- Manage long-term replacement programmes to ensure operational readiness, compliance and cost-effective utilisation.
- Own the fleet budget, controlling spend across vehicles, maintenance, fuel, insurance and compliance while driving cost savings.
- Ensure full compliance with O Licence, DVSA, Health & Safety and environmental standards, overseeing maintenance, repairs and telematics/tachograph programmes.
- Provide expert fleet guidance to operational teams and senior leaders while building strong internal relationships.
- Manage suppliers and contracts to deliver high service standards, value for money and continuous performance improvements.
- Champion safety, risk reduction and responsible driver behaviour, leading accident management and root cause analysis.
- Drive sustainability efforts, including alternative fuel options, EV strategy and emissions reduction.
