Maintenance Manager - Mechanical – NHS Band 7

Venn Group have partnered with a leading NHS Trust to recruit a Maintenance Manager on a 6 month contract.

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient maintenance across all Healthcare properties. This includes managing contractors, overseeing reactive, planned, and corrective works. The role demands strong leadership to deliver a customer-focused Estates service, with emphasis on statutory compliance, financial control, and service quality within a healthcare setting.

Rate: Band 7 - £32 per hour Umbrella

Location: London

Duration: 6 months

Hours: 37.5 hours a week – Monday – Friday

Key Duties:

• Communicate complex technical information to senior managers, directors, contractors, suppliers, and staff on estates projects and maintenance programmes.
• Ensure appropriate managerial, engineering, and building resources are in place to deliver safe, cost-effective maintenance and repairs in line with corporate objectives and healthcare regulatory standards.
• Define staff responsibilities, support professional development, and oversee training, appraisals, recruitment, and retention within the Estates team.
• Manage a delegated annual estates budget, authorising expenses and overseeing procurement of parts, materials, and supplies.
• Control operational budgets for staff and non-staff costs to ensure efficient service delivery.
