GPW are currently looking for an Estimator to join our client who are a leading organisation in the energy sector, delivering critical services that keep communities connected and support the transition to a low-carbon future.

Their capabilities span electricity transmission and distribution, renewable energy, EV infrastructure, metering, and home decarbonisation.

This particular role sits within their EV team, which is focused on delivering safe, high-quality, and sustainable electric vehicle charging infrastructure. The team is working to ensure that every charging solution is reliable, accessible, and fully integrated into the wider energy network.

What will you be doing?
You'll support the bid process from evaluation through to submission, bringing expertise in estimating, risk assessment, and pricing.

Key responsibilities include:

Assessing bid opportunities and participating in bid/no-bid reviews

*

Evaluating project risks and validating tender documentation

*

Preparing and pricing Civils BoQs—building rates from first principles

*

Supporting technical and estimating aspects of tenders and quotations

*

Assisting with post-tender client presentations

You'll be a key contributor to the successful delivery of EV projects that support the journey to Net Zero.

What you'll bring:

*

Proven experience in estimating within civil infrastructure or related capital projects

*

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

*

Knowledge of electrical infrastructure build and maintenance, with an understanding of National Grid and DNO standards

*

A keen eye for detail and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities

*

Strong commercial understanding (e.g. NEC, ICE, JCT contracts)

*

Experience with construction planning and sequencing

*

Leadership and people management capability
