Jackson Hogg is again supporting our longstanding client in their search for a hands-on Electrical Technician to support the build, testing, and fault-finding of advanced electrical and electronic systems. This is a newly created role focused on prototype development, product testing, and system reliability within a collaborative engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Assemble, test, and fault-find electronic and electro-mechanical systems

* Support prototype builds, commissioning, and product trials

* Carry out electrical and electronic testing for production and development units

* Diagnose faults using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other tools

* Work from electrical schematics and cable harness drawings

* Complete test reports and maintain accurate records

Essential Skills & Experience

* Experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment

* Strong fault-finding skills on electrical/electronic equipment

* Experience with low-voltage DC systems (12V/24V)

* Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams

* Confident using electrical test equipment

* Self-motivated, detail-focused, and able to meet deadlines

Desirable

* IPC-610/620 certification

* PCB fault finding & repair

* Knowledge of PLCs or control systems

* Background in automotive, heavy plant, or industrial machinery would be an advantage, but is not required.
