SEN Teaching Assistant (ASD)

About the role
Teach Now is recruiting on behalf of a thriving, inclusive primary school in Haringey for a dedicated sen teaching assistant to support a Year 4 pupil with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) on a 1:1 basis. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity starting September 2025.

This vibrant school is a true gem within the local community — an inspiring place where children love to learn. With a strong culture of creativity, high achievement, and individualised learning, it's a school that believes in going beyond the expected. Staff here are not just educators — they are nurturers, innovators, and lifelong learners.

Why this role stands out
• Work closely with a highly engaged and knowledgeable staff team
• Join a school with a broad and enriching curriculum — from creative arts to outdoor learning
• Take advantage of ongoing CPD opportunities and career development support
• Gain extensive experience supporting SEN, particularly ASD
• Be part of a happy, safe, and forward-thinking environment

You'll be joining a well-established and supportive team who are passionate about their mission: to ensure every moment for every pupil counts. The school's inclusive ethos and strong leadership have created an environment where pupils with additional needs truly thrive. Your work will directly impact a child's academic and emotional development.

What we're looking for
• Experience working with children, ideally in a primary or SEN setting
• A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
• Strong understanding of autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs

Whether you're an experienced SEN TA or looking to grow your career in education, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a setting where your impact will be deeply valued.
