Responsibilities of the Interim Management Accountant

As a Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of the organisation. Your primary responsibility will be preparing accurate monthly management accounts and presenting them to senior stakeholders. You will also conduct detailed budgeting and forecasting activities, ensuring that our business planning is grounded in solid financial understanding. Your analytical skills will be put to good use as you perform financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Compliance is key in this role, as you ensure adherence to all relevant financial regulations and standards. Collaboration is also crucial as you work with other departments to improve our financial processes and systems. Lastly, your insights will be invaluable as you provide recommendations based on financial data to inform our strategic decisions.

What the successful candidate will bring

  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA accountant
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the finance sector, preferably government/charity
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and other related IT systems
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
