We have a temporary role available within DS Smith's Paper Mill. The successful applicant will be a good communicator who is proactive, reliable and thrives in a production environment.

Role: Warehouse operative

Location: DS Smith Paper, Kemsley Mill, Sittingbourne ME10 2TD

Rate: £12.72 per hour days £13.91 per hour Nights £16.00 per hour on the clamp £27.82 per hour Sunday between 10pm-6am

Shift Patterns: 62 hours 2 weeks of days, Mon-Fri 5.30am-17.30pm 2 weeks of nights, Mon-Fri 17.30pm - 5.30am 1 week of days, Mon-Thurs (Fri off) 5.30am - 17.30pm

Start: ASAP (within 1-2 weeks)

Responsibilities:

• Manually loading and unloading goods
• Scanning items
• Ensuring all materials are secured
• Managing the movement of vehicles in the bay and communicating with drivers.
• Verifying incoming and outgoing shipments and updating inventory records
• Following appropriate procedures as trained at all times
• Adhering to a high level of UK Health and Safety at all times
• Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping within the department

Essential requirements:

• Previous experience within a production, machine operation or industrial environment
• Ability to perform physically demanding, manual work for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail
• Good knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation
• A proactive approach to tasks and ability to work on own initiative
• Approachable individual that can also work as a team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
