We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and dynamic Science Teacher to join a secondary school in Kendal. This is a full-time, long-term role starting immediately. The successful candidate will have a solid grasp of the Science curriculum, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to creating a stimulating learning environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Teach Science to KS3 and KS4 students, with the potential to teach KS5.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to a range of abilities.
  • Engage students with practical and theoretical knowledge.
  • Assess student understanding and progress, providing feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Manage the classroom effectively to foster a positive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the Science curriculum and teaching methods.
  • Participate in continuous professional development to stay abreast of educational advancements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Recent relevant experience in teaching Science at KS3 and KS4; experience with KS5 is advantageous.
  • Strong subject knowledge and excellent classroom management skills.
  • A reliable and committed individual who can act as a positive role model.
  • Good interpersonal skills, punctuality, patience, and confidence when working with students.
