Looking for a role where you can genuinely make an impact in a fast-paced, high-growth environment?

This is an opportunity to join an ambitious, tech-driven business at the forefront of the UK's transition to electric transport. With significant investment, rapid expansion and a clear growth trajectory, the business is scaling quickly and finance plays a critical role in that journey.

This is a great opportunity for a hands-on, commercially aware Finance Manager who enjoys solving problems, improving processes and operating in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.

Why this role stands out

You'll be right in the middle of a business that is evolving quickly, working across multiple finance areas while helping to improve systems, automate processes and drive better reporting.

Whilst managing a small team, you'll also work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, gaining exposure to operations, commercial teams and leadership.

The role

This is a broad and varied position, combining financial control, reporting and finance change.

You will:

  • Take ownership of month-end close, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
  • Prepare high-quality management accounts with clear, insightful commentary
  • Lead on balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial control
  • Oversee key areas such as fixed assets, inventory and revenue reconciliation
  • Support audit processes and year-end reporting
  • Drive improvements in financial systems, processes and automation
  • Partner with teams across the business to provide financial insight and support decision making
  • Manage and develop a small team

Alongside this, you'll play a key role in ongoing finance transformation, helping to streamline processes and improve efficiency as the business scales.

What we're looking for

You'll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a strong technical grounding and a mindset geared towards improvement and problem solving.

You're comfortable working in a fast-moving environment, able to manage multiple priorities and get into the detail when needed.

You'll bring:

  • Experience in a Financial Manager or similar role within a fast-paced business
  • Experience of working in an environment with a high volume of transactions
  • Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills
  • Advanced Excel skills, ideally including modelling and VBA
  • Experience working with multiple finance systems (eg NetSuite, Xero, SAP, Salesforce)
  • A track record of improving processes, systems or reporting
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • Experience working in a PE backed business would be advantageous

The opportunity

This is a brilliant role for someone who enjoys being challenged, solving problems and improving how finance operates within a growing business.

You'll gain broad exposure, work with senior stakeholders and play a key role in shaping the finance function as the business continues to expand.

If you're looking for something dynamic, hands-on and genuinely impactful, this is well worth exploring.
