MET Technician - Guildford

Salary: £38,000 - £50,000 Basic | OTE £42,000 - £57,000+

The Role

We are recruiting for an experienced MET Technician (Strip/Fitter) to join a busy, modern accident repair centre in the Guildford area. Working within a high-performing bodyshop, you will be responsible for the efficient strip, repair, and refit of damaged vehicles to manufacturer standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Strip and refit mechanical, electrical, and trim components

* Carry out repairs in line with manufacturer specifications

* Diagnose faults and ensure correct repair methods are used

* Work closely with Panel Beaters and Paint Technicians

* Ensure vehicles are repaired to a high standard of safety and quality

* Maintain accurate job records and meet productivity targets

* Adhere to all health & safety and compliance standards

Requirements

* Proven experience as an MET Technician / Strip Fitter

* ATA accreditation (highly desirable)

* NVQ Level 2/3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Repair

* Strong knowledge of bodyshop repair processes

* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

* Own tools preferred

* Full UK driving licence
