We are working in partnership with a trusted Client in the Leeds area who are recruiting an experienced Programme Planner to join their expanding Care Development division.

The Programme Planner will be responsible for collating and analysing Construction Site performance data. You will maintain, update, and adapt the standard programme template plans ensuring that progress is marked as accurately as possible. Delays are identified and described, and if necessary, plans re-worked to help the construction team get back on target.

Change is inevitable in construction, and you will be adaptable to it, ensuring these changes are recorded accurately and in detail, giving senior managers insight and information they need to understand the true position of the programme.

Travel is part of this role; you will be expected to visit sights on a regular basis and develop working relationships with the members of the Construction team. Critique and disagreement regarding the programme are standard parts of construction. Being able to engage in difficult conversations is a part of the role.

Responsibilities:

* Work closely with the Programme Planning Manager, Managing Director, Commercial Director, Construction Directors, and Site Managers.

* Take day to day responsibility for aiding our Regional Director & Site Manager teams to monitor and influence the construction programme across the UK

* Maintain clean well-ordered plans, that describe in detail, the history and progression of the construction processes.

* Work with finance to report progress against the build.

* Use the current reporting process to update and flag process of all construction sites. This is done on a weekly basis.

* Attend start up meetings and review meetings to ensure all relevant parties have the information they require to hit their target!

* Communicate with the subcontractor partners who will require dates that they will need to hit.

* Provide programme of works and key dates to the Managing Director, Regional Directors, Site Managers & all other relevant internal departments.

* Weekly communications with Regional Directors and Site Managers to validate progress either by visiting sites or using appropriate technology

* In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the jobholder may be asked to perform other duties assigned by the management from time to time.

Experience:

* Microsoft project

* Program planning

* Knowledge of standard construction processes and techniques, with interest in green technology solutions. Geothermal Ground Source heat pumps, Photovoltaic arrays etc.
