Graduate Quantity Surveyor - Main Contractor

A well-regarded and growing regional main contractor is seeking a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a permanent basis. With a strong portfolio of projects spanning sectors such as education, healthcare, commercial, and residential, this contractor offers an exciting opportunity to kickstart your career in quantity surveying.

The Role:

As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will be based at the company's Stansted office and involved in a variety of projects across London and the South East. You will gain valuable experience in all aspects of quantity surveying, including cost management, procurement, subcontractor management, and contract administration. Working under the guidance of senior surveyors and project managers, you'll be able to develop your skills on real, live projects from the outset.

Responsibilities:

Assist with the preparation of cost reports and valuations

Support senior surveyors in managing project budgets

Help with subcontractor procurement and contract administration

Work on-site with project teams to ensure cost control and value management

Gain hands-on experience in all aspects of the project lifecycle

About You:

Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Strong communication and organisational skills

Motivated to learn and develop in the construction industry

Comfortable with occasional site visits across London and the South East

Based within commuting distance of Stansted or willing to relocate
