We are recruiting a Commercial Manager for a well-established social housing group based in Northampton! As a Commercial Manager, you will take ownership of the commercial and operational performance of the repairs and maintenance service, leading a team of 10 to deliver high-quality, cost-effective and compliant services to residents. Commercial Manager key responsibilities include:
  • Leading the commercial function across responsive repairs and maintenance services
  • Managing and developing a team of 10, driving high performance and accountability
  • Overseeing budgets, cost control and financial forecasting to ensure value for money
  • Managing contractor relationships, procurement activities and performance frameworks
  • Ensuring compliance with housing legislation, health & safety standards and regulatory requirements
  • Identifying opportunities for service improvement, efficiency savings and innovation
  • Collaborating with internal teams to enhance service delivery and resident satisfaction
The successful Commercial Manager will have:
  • Strong experience in a Commercial Manager role within social housing, repairs or maintenance
  • Proven ability to manage teams and drive performance in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid financial and commercial acumen, including budget management and cost control
  • Experience in contractor management and procurement processes
  • Good understanding of compliance, health & safety and regulatory standards
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong leadership skills
