Red Sky is seeking a dedicated Safety and Compliance Officer to join our client's team at London Oxford Airport, with occasional support at the London Heliport. This role plays a key part in supporting aviation safety, compliance activities, and workplace health and safety in line with national and international regulatory requirements.

Reporting to the Safety & Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for auditing activities related to aerodrome certification, supporting the development and implementation of the Safety Management System (SMS), and driving continuous improvement in safety and compliance procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct internal and external audits across operational areas; recommend improvements and track corrective actions.

Monitor CAA regulatory updates and assess operational impacts.

Manage safety reporting via the SMS; investigate hazards and submit mandatory reports (MORs/RIDDORs) on time.

Support departments with understanding and implementing aviation safety regulations.

Assist in drafting and updating safety and compliance policies and procedures.

Coordinate and monitor corrective actions to resolve safety issues.

Ensure closure of non-conformances identified through audits or safety monitoring.

Promote a Just Culture and support training, safety communication, and staff engagement.

Conduct workplace Health & Safety audits; assist with developing policies to meet HSE requirements.

Role Competencies:

Working Conditions:

Salary to be decided upon experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30-17:30 (40 hours/week)
Locations: London Oxford Airport & The London Heliport

Flexibility required - occasional unsociable hours may be necessary without additional compensation.
