Are you a recently qualified solicitor (up to 3 years’ PQE) with an interest in charity law and commercial contracts? This is a brilliant opportunity to join a Legal 500 and Chambers-ranked Charities & Commercial team within one of the UK’s leading full-service firms, based in Reading.
The Role:
You’ll support senior lawyers on a broad range of commercial and charity matters, while developing your own caseload. The team advises national charities, schools, not-for-profit organisations, and public sector clients on high-quality, often complex legal issues.
Typical work includes:
- Advising on charity formation, registration and structures
- Governance and regulatory compliance
- Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and funding agreements
- Trustee duties and board matters
- Charity mergers and collaborative ventures
- Academy conversions and education sector work
- Trading, sponsorship and fundraising arrangements
? About You:
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
- 0–3 years’ PQE with experience in commercial, corporate or charity law
- Excellent drafting and communication skills
- Strong academic record (2:1 or above preferred)
- A genuine interest in the charity and not-for-profit sector
- Keen to progress your legal career in a well-respected, supportive team
