Our client, a well-established manufacturing business, is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to take ownership of their finance function. This is a hands-on role offering variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to play a key part in the company’s continued success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts and report on budget variances
• Maintain and update financial records using Sage
• Produce monthly standard cost variance reports
• Manage cash collection and supplier payments in line with KPIs
• Oversee reporting on stock levels and asset utilisation
• Lead the annual budgeting process
• Prepare statutory reports for Companies House and liaise with external accountants for tax and audit requirements
• Ensure the business has sufficient funding and liaise with bankers as needed
• Lead the finance and admin team to meet reporting and control standards
• Oversee company insurance and ensure compliance with legal and financial regulations
• Manage IT and telecoms policies
• Ensure accurate tax reporting across VAT, PAYE/NI, and Corporation Tax
• Carry out additional duties as required by the Board

What We’re Looking For:

• Fully qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or QBE with strong financial control experience
• Proven background in management reporting and financial operations
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• A proactive, organised individual with the ability to manage competing priorities
